We are a small Design & Drafting firm located in Cockatoo, in the Dandenong Ranges in the outer east of Melbourne.

Operated by Anders Silversten of Cockatoo, a Registered Building Practitioner with the Victorian Building Authority since 2005.

Specialising in residential works we cover anything from small extensions and renovations , carports, garages, alfresco and decks to large bespoke new homes. With over 18 years in business we have amassed a wealth of experience in most aspects of the trade.

concept & sketch design

The initial stage of the project involves gathering the required information on site and discussing your specific requirements, options and ideas. This is then used to create a rough concept or sketch design. At this stage we try to account for any local restrictions or requirements relating to your site.

3D visualisation

Sometimes it is hard to visualise exactly how your project will look. That's when a 3D view or two can make all the difference. Even though final decisions regarding materials or colours may not yet have been made, a perspective view of your project can help clarify which way the design is heading.

town planning drawings

If you need a Town Planning Permit we can prepare the necessary documentation and lodge your application with the local council. Quite often this will require input from other consultants like arborists, land surveyors, geologists etc...

working drawings

The last phase of the drawing process is to prepare the technical drawings you need to obtain a building permit and use to build your project. This will often also involve external consultants like Structural or Civil Engineers, Building Thermal Performance Assessors (Energy Raters), Geotechnical consultants etc...
